We avoid engaging linguists for translation of specialty texts. Our translations are produced by practicing doctors, chemists, biologists, pharmacists, laboratory staff, and researchers. These translations are edited by staff editors, including PhDs and experts in manufacturing and registration of medicinal products.
Each of our translators has to meet the following requirements:
1
Testing
Confirming the level of education and completing 2-3 test assignments
2
Proficiency with computerized translation systems
Knowledge of CAT tools to improve speed and performance
3
Listening to feedback
Continuously learning and discussing each translated text with the editors
We initiated and successfully achieved ISO 17100 certification and perform regular audits to validate the level of our systems.
ISO 17100 is designed specifically for translation service providers and covers all stages of their operations, including the quality control system, the training procedure, and the technical aspects of organizing the process.
Certification
Many translation agencies claim that their services comply with ISO 9001, but this may be confusing as ISO 9001 covers only the management system rather than the provided services and, therefore, does not reflect all the intricacies of translation process. In other words, that standard can be used to certify not only translation agencies, but also any other business, such as river boat transportation.
